Thankful for my sweet Hubby!

Happy Turkey Day Friends! I decided to dedicate my turkey day post to the hubby because I couldn't be more thankful that god choose him for me!

It all started in August 2004! I transferred from a jr college to Tarleton State University! I moved into the dorms because I didn't have enough hours to live off campus and I didn't know anyone there so I needed to make friends!

Met a girl named Erin who somehow knew all these football players! Went to our first home game and said hey I need you to introduce me to #47 Payne he is REALLY cute! So two nights later we went to "Payne's" house! We were just hangin out watching tv and Erin said hey I gotta go run an errand I will be right back and left! I though NO WAY she is leaving me here with this guy I don't know! Yep she did! So it was just me and Jason at his house watching tv!

It wasn't too awkward until he said "are you staring at my toe?" I said not then of course I looked! He said "it was tired it hitched a piggy back ride"...his pinky toe does NOT touch the ground it is up on top of the next toe! WEIRD!!! After that we saw each other every day became bf/gf!

Sorority Formal...nice shoes Barbie!

                    Young LOVE ;)

He graduated in December of 2005 and moved home to work for his dad who had a home building/constuction business! We got engaged in February of 2006 (I will write about that one day) and married June 9,2007!

        Right after we got engaged!

                   Wedding day

He has been my best friend and my rock through so much and I would be lost without him! He is such a hard worker and when he isn't working his full time job he finds side jobs to make extra money to make sure we have everything we want and more!

We may be married with kids but still like to have FUN!

No only is he wonderful to me he is also wonderful to our boys! Even after a long day at work he makes a point to play with them no matter how exhausted he is. This usually involves wrestling or tackling!

I am so thankful that he picked me out of all the girls in the world! We have had our ups and downs don't get me wrong but through it all we have each other! I can't wait to see what the future holds for us and our family! God has done so many amazing things for us and we are forever blessed!

"We've had our ups and downs and turns around but our love is stronger than any fight. Even when we lost control we never let go. We kept on hangin on for dear life! I know no matter the size of the mountain you and me will be side by side! Baby ain't life and love one big roller coaster ride!" --Aaron Watson

Happy Thanksgiving Friends! :)

It's Wednesday but it's Friday!

Today may be Wednesday but it's really my Friday! I am off tomorrow of course and I took off Friday because I have LOTS of shopping to do duh!!!

I can't wait for the day to be over so I can start my weekend! Tomorrow we have Turkey Day with Hubby's family! We alternate ever year this year Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve are with his family & Christmas day is with mine!

Things get so complicated when you get married and have to figure out who you spend holidays with! Then when you throw Kiddos and Santa in the mix WOAH NELLY! I don't know how my parents juggled it all those years!

After we eat lunch with the in-laws the boys and I will be headed to Austin to spend the rest of the weekend with my family! Hubby will stay and work to pay for my Black Friday shopping! Bless his heart for working on his time off from work! We sure are LUCKY

My parents and sister live in Austin where I was raised which is about 3 hours from where we live! I haven't seen them in a month or more so I couldn't e more excited for a long weekend with them!

People who live in the same town or less than an hour from their parents don't know how truly blessed they are! We don't have any family in the same town as us. Jason's family is only about 30 min from us so we see them often! I can't tell you how nice it would be to be able to have weekly dinners with MY family, go visit them after work, have them be at every single t-ball game or event that the kids have, call them for help when hubby is gone or see them every weekend! ESP during football season!

So if you are able to do any of those things consider your self blessed beyond measure! Many people would do anything to be able to be in your shoes!

Happy Hump day Friends!

Twins...separated at birth 6 yrs apart!

About a month ago I started following a girl named Shelby on Instagram because we liked the same store KIKILARUE of course and have the same body type! So I wanted to see some of the clothes on to decide how they would fit me before ordering!

     Isn't she the cutest?

A week ago she posted some clothes she was selling on Instagram and I wanted them! So she gave me her number and we began to txt back and forth!

We hit it off from the word hey! Since then we haven't stopped texting except to sleep! We are so much alike it's CRAZY! Not only do we have the same body type (extremely short...aka FUN SIZED & petite) but we seriously like all the same things!

We both love kikilarue, shopping, leopard print, EOS chap stick, hot wings, beer, wine, nail polish, the color pink, blogging, we are indecisive and hate staying home alone!

It's like we were ment to be bff's! We are twins separated at birth and six years apart! In two weeks I will get to meet her when she comes to Texas for a kikilarue event and I can hardly wait! After that I'm sure we will be planning our next meet up!

You should go on over and see her blog HERE it's AMAZING & I just know you will LOVE it!

Weekend Wrap Up!

How is the weekend already over? I think I say that every Monday. Good thing is I do love my job so Mondays aren't so terrible I would just rather be with my boys!

This Monday ESP stinks because my Husband and oldest son are out of school for the whole week! It's times like this I wish I was a teacher! I am only off Thursday & Friday! Grr lol

Another quiet weekend at our house...actually the in-laws. Stayed home with the boys of Friday night while the hubby went and sat in the cold & rain to watch a football game! He is nuts! The boys and I watched Duck Dynasty Christmas and cuddled! It was perfect ;)

Saturday we went to my in-laws house again! Their house is like heaven for my boys! It's in the country with cows, horses, sheep, donkeys, ATV'S & lots of room to run! It doesn't hurt that they are totally and completely spoiled and get pretty much whatever they want there! That's what grandparents are for right?

Unfortunately the weather was cold and wet all weekend so we were unable to do any of that fun stuff! For the youngest this ment he had to stay in all weekend but he was fine with that he played with his toys, played with paw-paw, helped Mimi keep the fires going and take bubble baths in the BIG tub!

That smile and those dimples get him into and out of a lot of trouble!

The oldest did go hunting with daddy and his cousins on Saturday. Daddy got a doe so he helped him clean it! Then Suday we went out to the pasture to let him shoot his new deer rifle!

My husband had no PATIENCE for the little guy not knowing what to do! He got frustrated with him and Brayden ended up only shooting it once. It's a dad thing I guess! It doesn't help that Brayden is left handed and Jason isn't so it harder for him to teach him stuff! It was still fun and Brayden felt so big shooting a REAL gun that could kill a deer! Haha

It was a nice relaxing weekend and it was COLD COLD COLD in TEXAS! Us Texans seem to hibernate when the temps drop below 40! Haha

Fourteen Friday Favorites :)

It's Friday and I am in a FUNK! Don't want to work, ready for the weekend and OVER this CRAZY Texas weather! I have been using my AC for about a week now after turning on my heat 3 days before that and now its back to Heat again! Yesterday 76 today 34 and WET! Texas Weather really is BIPOLAR I swear!

So the only thing that will get me out of this funk and get me through the day is talking about some of my FAVORITE things! So like it or not here they are:

1. The color PINK its my fav and I pretty much LOVE anything that is pink.

2. Animal Print--Zebra & Leopard preferrably! I am so glad that they are so in right now!

3. EOS chap stick. That stuff is the bomb and I'm pretty sure I'm addicted to it! It makes my lips happy :)

4. SPARK SPARK AND MORE SPARK!!! Fruit punch is my favorite! I am out right now and drinking dp instead! BAD BAD BAD I know but I have to have caffeine and I HATE cofffe.

5. KIKI LA RUE- Wearing my new outfit from there today and should be recieving my new sweater really soon! I use to be really bad about not ever buying anything for my self and only shopping for the boys this store CHANGED that bc I can't NOT buy stuff they have bc its so darn cute and they show me how to style it.

6. Nail polish. Any kind really sinful colors is cheap and usually always has a color I like. I have a bunch of nail polish some of which I prob have never used! My husband can't understand why I need so many. OH MEN!! LOL

7. Christmas is my FAVORITE holiday! Jesus is the reason for the season & I love getting to teach my boys about it! & I love buying gifts for loved ones & EATING! Its a miracle I don't weigh a million pounds honestly!

8. Football is my FAVORITE sport DUH I am a coaches wife. Do I really have a choice? LOL I love the game and watching it. I learn something new every game! It makes my hubby happy!

9. TEXAS LONGHORNS are my favorite team. Born and raised in Austin, Texas and my dad is the biggest longhorn fan EVER.

10. My favorite dessert is probably CRUMB CAKE. I make it so often that today when I had to bake a dessert for my son to take to his Turkey Day feast I said you want me to make cookies or cupcakes. Nope he wanted crumb cake

11. My favorite season is SUMMER. I LOVE me some shorts tank tops and flip flops. Luckily I live in Texas and that is most of the year here

12. BEER & WINE. No I'm not an alcoholic I just enjoy a drink with my dinner or two with my dinner and on the weekends with friends.

13. Aaron Watson is my favorite singer. If you haven't heard of him you MUST look him up! Seriously AMAZING, down to earth, loves his family and the lord! It's Texas country!

14. Last but not least my Favorite food...SEA FOOD!!!! Hubby says I'm an expensive date Lobster, calamari, crab legs I like it all pretty much!

Hope you have a fantastic FRIDAY & good luck to all those teams still in the play offs!

Twelve Thursday Thankfuls

So I haven't participated in the whole daily thankful thing on fb for the month of November but thought I would share on here! I am thankful for all of these things and more 24/7 365 days a year not just in November. :)

1. My relationship with the Lord. He is what has gotten me through some of the hardest times in my life. He is always forgiving and has blessed me with way more than I deserve.

2. My hubby! He is my best friend, an amazing father to my children, works his rear of to spoil us rotten and loves us unconditionally no matter what. I am thankful that out of all the women in the world he choose me to spend the rest of this life with!

3. My Children!! They are the light of my life and one of my biggest reasons for getting my butt out of bed each morning and trying to make myself a better person. They can make any bad day better without even knowing it! I am the princess of the house and their first love! What more could I ask for?

4. My family! My parents who have been there for the through it all even when I was the biggest brat EVER. My Sister who is my best friend and my rock...she has seen me at my lowest and loved me through it! My Grandparents they are all amazing and I am so lucky to still have them in my life and part of my boys life! My Mother & Father in law who have taken me in as their own since day one and would do anything in the world for our family. My sister & brother in laws who are always there for us if we need them and are SO sweet to our babies. All my nieces and nephews that are so sweet and mean so much to all of us! Cousins cousins and more cousins we prob have a million cousins combined and we love each and every one of them so much!

5. My BFF Vicki who is my partner in crime and my other half. She means more to me than she will EVER know!

6. My job. God has blessed me with an amzaing job that I LOVE. Its amazing to get up and not dread going to work. I have great co-workers and and AMAZING boss.

7. My coaches wifes. Past and present. These girls are the ONLY ones who truly understand the day to day struggles of being a coaches wife. They have become some of my very best friends and are always there for me when I need them most. They are like my family since our families dont live in the same town as us.

8. Brayden's school and Tate's sitter. It is so great to drop my kids off and not worry if they are ok. Brayden LOVES his school and his teacher and runs in every morning sometimes forgetting to tell me bye! Tate goes right to Mrs. Shawna every morning and DOESNT tell me bye. Then when I go to pick him up he RUNS from me! It just makes me feel good that they love them just as I do!

9. Social Media. Weird I know but if it weren't for FB and Instagram it would be impossible for me to keep up with people. My family does not live close so they often check fb or insta to see pics of the boys. Life is so busy that some of the people I love most I dont get to see or talk to near enough and this gives me that opportunity!

10. My blonde moments. Another weird one but it keeps life very intersting and fun! Esp for those around me. Blondes have more fun! :)

11. My new friend Shelby who txt me to tell me about a KIKILARUE sale today! Friends dont let friends shop alone! I can not wait to meet her in a few short weeks!

12. BEER & WINE. Yes I am a christian and yes I like to have a beer/glass of wine or two or four or more & that is OK!!

Happy Thursday Friends! The weekend is just around the corner!

Field trip FUN

A mommy first for me today...Attended my first of MANY field trips with my oldest son. He was SO excited that I was going to be able to go with him but wasn't so happy that I had to drive my own car (school rules).

The field trip was to Mainstay Farms which is a pumpkin patch in October and a Christmas tree farm in November & December. Its a very neat place with lots for the kids to do but we have never been!

So I get there a little late as usual (its rare for me to be on time). Walk up to where his class is standing and see 3 men(dads) standing there and then the teachers. I was suprised for two reasons one there was only 4 parents and there was three classes with probably 10 kids each and the fact that I was the ONLY MOM. I though ok did I miss the memo was this a dad's only event. No no I didn't good for them for coming to their childs field trip. Brayden said "Hey mommy, where is daddy?" haha

I text my husband and told him I was the only Mom his response "Ask them how much they know about football. I bet you know more if they are at a field trip and their wifes are working" I couldn't help but laugh. Not that he would never go on a field trip with our kids but most of the time Moms are the ones who attend.

Brayden and I before we started all the fun activities.

The field trip was a blast. The kids got to play in the hay, roast marshmallows, ride on a hay ride, play on a HUGE play ground and go through a maze. Brayden loved it!!

One of the little girls in his class really seems to like him. They were walking from one activity to another and she said "Brayden can I hold your hand" of course he said yes. I ALMOST died! He is WAY to young for this they are in PRE-K for goodness sake! She followed him around most of the day!

So I survied my first of many and can't wait for the next one in December to see Polar Express at the Omni.

Have a Happy HUMP day..the weekend isn't too far away!!! :)

Transformation Tuesday!!

You prob thought this was going to be about how I lost all kinds of weight or something NOPE! Its about my baby boy who is ALMOST 2 and I'm planning his party!

How is this possible? How in the world do I have a 5 1/2 yr old and a 2 year old (on dec 9th)? Time needs to SLOW it's roll! The question of when's then next becomes more and more frequent as he gets older. Truth is im not sure if we are going to do that or not!

I would like to try again in about a year...hubby says NO WAY! Some days I agree with him after dealing with the youngest! I don't know if its the terrible twos or the youngest child part that makes him SO mischevious, mean at times, rough and just a HANFUL at times! He really is a sweetie but man when those moods or tempers hit WATCH OUT WORLD!

He was just as cute then

as he is now!

So last year we did the whole HUGE first birthday thing and it was so much fun but it was A LOT of people in our not so big house! So this year we are thinking about just doing family. I made a list of family and close friends and its just way too many people. There are about 12 coaches on staff with Jason almost all of them have children and spouses, then our close friends that also have kids and family friends. It's just alot and he is two he doesn't really know right?

Then I feel bad like I'm Cheating him. I already feel bad that his birthday is in December. Mine is December 16th and I ALWAYS hated it as a kid. Here is your Birthday/ Christmas present or oh sorry can't come to your party we are busy with Christmas stuff. I swore I would NEVER have a Christmas baby but God had other plans! So I promised myself and my husband we would ALWAYS celebrate his birthday and never let him feel like it wasnt a big deal bc of the time of the year!

Still haven't decided what we are doing for sure but leaning toward just family! Reguardless I am going to decorate and have a theme!

Farm Animals: The kid LOVES him some horses, cows, pigs, donkeys etc. My in laws live in the country with all those animals and he STAYS outside while we are there. So its only fitting! Found lots of ideas on pintrest of course! Let the crafting begin!

Happy Tuesday Friends :)

12 days till Black Friday!!!!

Since we had a pretty relaxing weekend I took advantage and started making my Christmas list for everyone! For the first time EVER I had the hardest time making list for the boys. Does this mean they are spoiled? Maybe but I'm ok with it :)

I asked my 5 year Brayden what he wants for Christmas. He said: Ipod, ipad, 4 wheeler, bow n arrow and new toys. Who does he think he is? an IPAD and IPOD? Your 5 child seriously! I told my parents about it and guess what they are getting him AN IPOD and my sister is getting him Beats head phones! Like I said a little bit rotten.

Thankfully the youngest is unable to tell me what he wants yet so I get to make his list which is so much fun but so hard at the same time. He needs boring things like new shoes, clothes, jackets and a toy box. But I HAVE to throw in some fun toys with it bc those things are just boring. His birthday is in December on the 9th so I have to come up with stuff for both!

I try and stay away from Toys'R'Us because it is a MAD HOUSE! But I'm not sure if I will be able to this year they have some really good deals! But as always so does Wal-mart.

Found this cute mini 4-wheeler for the youngest @Walmart. Still debating but its pretty cute!

Found this WI game and Duck Dynasty set at Bass Pro for the Oldest! HE LOVES him some Duck Dynasty so this is a must!

Then of course there are lots of things I found for ME! This year my husband and I decided our gift to each other is a new TV and entertainment center. Im excited...This is when you know your getting old! This is the TV we are getting at Wal-mart!

Then Im going to HAVE to go to Kohls because they are going to have my dishes on sale I have purchased 3 sets of the Turquoise fiesta wear and need to buy the rest! How can I pass up this price! Yep I can't!

Found this TV for my mother & Father in law! They have a entertainment center and this is the biggest that will fit in it & its SUPER cheap!

Like I said I found more for me than for the kids but Im still working on it! More good deals to come!

LOVE me some BLACK FRIDAY Madness! My hubby loves that I am saving money but thinks I'm CRAZY!!!!

Happy Moday :)

First weekend Post Football

Well this was our first weekend post football season! It's always so weird that first Friday that we don't play! But that didn't mean we didn't go to a game!

My mother in law kept the kids and we went to watch Jason's hometown play 2.5 hrs away! We called it a date night! I'll take what I can get until football is really over!
It was a great game but they came up short!

Yesterday my boys and I enjoyed most of the day outside in the amazing Texas weather! Brayden and I did some target practice with his BB gun! He LOVED every min and so did mommy!

To make my day even BETTER my FAVORITE store kikilarue.com had a surprise 30% off sale! So this momma made a few purchases! Including my first Larue essential top (review and pics when I get it)!

It was a great weekend with family and I'm so not ready for it to be over!!!!

End of season Blues

Well it's been a min since I blogged. Last week was the end of our season! We fell one game short of the play offs which I think is harder than coming in dead last! So close yet so far away! I wanted it so bad for our seniors the coaches an the rest of the players! They have overcome so much this year and weren't at all ready to be done!

Every year seeing the seniors after their last game so emotional and my husband too! This years seniors hold a special place in our hearts as do all the kids we meet in coaching!

As a coaches wife these kids become like your own! They count on my husband to lead and guide them and be their mentor and friend! He does his best by them and their parents and to watch it all end so quick is so hard!

This weekend play offs started and we went to watch Meridian Jason's hometown team play. On Monday he spoke at their pep rally to get them ready for the upcoming game! Everyone raved over his speech and how good it was! Their team fell a touch down short to Detroit to end their season!

Of course all the teams from our district played in their play off games also and the team we beat Waco played Granbury and beat them 50-7! :( that stings a little!

Anyway! That's a wrap up if the last few weeks! :)

So ready for the holidays and lots of family time! :)
